you are the bomb valentine

you are the bomb valentine, tutorial by @boermanc on the the pearl blog

Little man wanted to have a fun valentine card to hand out. Or was it me wanting him to have unique card. I am pretty sure it was him. We searched Pinterest for an idea that would a:be easy and b:not cost a lot. Dude has 25 kids in his class. He spotted an idea he loved right away and we agreed it was perfect. Although the actual pin was for bath fizzes we changed it a little to make it work for kids. Together we created a manly treat to hand out. Here is our You are the bomb valentine!

bomb valentine for kids

The best part is they were SUPER easy to make. The most time consuming part is handwriting the labels (we are out of printer ink) You can purchase ALL the supplies at the dollar store even. I did not because I was already at the grocery store but it was still cheep.

supplies for bomb valentine

supplies needed:
suckers – blow pops or tootsie pops work best due to size. I used store brand blow pops ($1.79 for 18 – purchased 2 packs)
scissors
pipe cleaners – metallic ones are best. I bought them in a multi-pack for a $2.00. (the little girls used the left overs to make valentines bead hearts)
black tissue paper – $1.50 at my local grocery store
paper for your labels

(sorry this is not a picture tutorial)

Step 1: cut the tissue paper into 4×4 squares
Step 2: wrap the tissue paper square around the sucker
Step 3: wrap a gold or silver pipe cleaner around the base of the sucker securing the tussie paper in place
Step 4: continue wrapping the pipe cleaner up the sucker stick, trim off access (one pipe cleaner should work for two suckers)
Step 5: attach your label with a staple (like i did), tape or with a string

you are Da Bomb Valentine

and that’s it you are done. I made this TODAY, in about 20 minutes! Yup we planned this idea over a month ago and i still waited until the last minute to execute the plan.
