WIWW… inside and out…

live with less and yellow cardigan

sometimes when i write a WIWW i get caught up in the fashion
in the labels, brands, style, and trends
when i really sit and think about it, none of that matters
none of that is eternal

live with less and yellow cardigan

what really matters is what you can’t see
what i am should be wearing

1 peter 3:3-4
3 Do not let your adorning be external–the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear– 4 but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God’s sight is very precious

this verse does not mean literally mean we can not braid our hair or wear gold jewelry. but it’s what’s in the indie we should be focusing on. making sure that is looking it’s best.

Isaiah 61:10 (NLT)
10 I am overwhelmed with joy in the Lord my God! For he has dressed me with the clothing of salvation and draped me in a robe of righteousness. I am like a bridegroom in his wedding suit or a bride with her jewels.

he has dressed me, not i got dressed for him.
i can not dress my self in such extravagant things as salvation

Romans 13:14 (NLT)
14 Instead, clothe yourself with the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. And don’t let yourself think about ways to indulge your evil desires.

again, not dress in chambray, stripes, statement necklaces, mustard yellow cardigans and colored skinny pants.
but clothe myself with the Lord Jesus Christ.

  1. I totally get where you’re coming from, and agree, to a certain extent. I also think that our outside should reflect our inside. If you have a beautiful spirit, it would be a shame to hide it behind sweatpants and ratty t-shirts. I don’t know about you, but I’m actually more productive and focused when I’ve taken the time to put on something I would not find myself lounging in (like skirts and blouses). Anyway, enough ranting — I used to pair t-shirts and cardigans together all the time, so I’m digging this look 🙂
