WIWW finally some new clothes…

WIWW with the pleated poppy

WIWW with the pleated poppy

finally i have some time to write a WIWW post.
i feel like we have become long distant friends here.

for those of you new to my WIWW posts.
It’s a way for me to have accountability and to actually get “dressed” every most days.

I found some outfits in my archives that i did not have time to share before
so lets play catch up

I wore this outfit to our last MOPS meeting of 2012

blue skinny jeans and a striped blazer

striped blazer-kohls | white tank-maurices | black tshirt-target | blue skinnies-charlotte russe | boots-thrifted | necklace- Bridget’s Boutique | bracelet-charlotte russe

this next outfit was my first attempt at a denim top
I have been seeing them everywhere but had no luck  finding one new.
I scored this one at goodwill for 1.99.
I tried to copy a look of Lindsey from the pleated poppy but i was a complete fail!

blue cowl leggings brown boots

boots-kohls similar ones here | leggings and white tank-maurices | denim shirt-goodwill | white cardi-old navy | blue cowl-worldmarket

and finally last but not least I took my kids to see the nutckracker at the ballet
we were gifted the tickets by a friend.
the kids and i got dressed up for show.
i even bought new tights for the occasion

maroon tights

boots-thrifted | tights-goodwill (new) | dress-maurices | cardigan-old navy

in the last 3 poses i rolled the dress up so you could see the tights better
after looking at the pictures i think i may shorten the dress a little!

maroon tights and tall black boots

I think I want to try dresses and tights more
I am just not sure what kind of dress to buy
do you like dresses? what do you recommend for everyday wear?

  1. I love your outfits! Seriously! I LOVE wearing dresses and leggings. Seriously has gotten me through this postpartum period. I’m just now wearing jeans again 7 weeks later. 🙂
I did a WIWW for the 2nd time ever- about wearing my baby! ha!

  2. I don’t think your 2nd outfit was a fail at all! I love layering with a chambray shirt and yours is really cute…and what a deal! 🙂 I love wearing dresses with boots and tights in the winter for work. One staple that you’ll get a lot of wear out of is a chambray dress. Target almost always has one version or another. I have two from there. 🙂
