WIWW #42 hour glass… try eggplant

you read that right… Eggplant aka no waist! I learned this week with my outfit choices that I have no natural waist.. My body shape is best described as a rectangle.. I also learned I need to learn how to better dress a rectangle.. first things first..belts at my waist are a no go.. I realize now that they do nothing for my rectangle figure suggestions? What was I thinking here with outfit #1… it looks like I was trying way too hard and it all went wrong.. I probably would have done better minus the belt

 skinny jeans – macy’s
black t shirt – target
red cardigan – old navy
necklace – SimplyCreated
belt – goodwill

Outfit fail #2 this sweater is so un-flattering for me..

sweater – JC penny’s
white longs sleeve t – old navy
pants – maurices
necklace – Metal Stamped Memories

okay outfit #3 is the best from the week but the hair.. Oy Vey… what was I thinking… it looks like it is about to take flight!

jeans- macy’s
turtle neck sweater /  earrings – maurices
belt – goodwill
Okay friends I really need help here.. Dress me please…

  4. “rectangle”, hilarious 🙂 I think the first outfit is cute if you ditch the belt. Red looks fantastic on you. My first thought was that you could wear wider leg pants so they make a straight line from your hips to your toes thus making your waist appear narrower and gives you that hour-glass shape {with a body conscious top}. I’m not an expert by any means but it might help. Also, I think our pictures are not necessarily 100% accurate due to stretching and such. Sometimes I see my post and think “WTH?!?!” 😉

  5. Stopping by from WIWW.
I would have to agree with you on the belt in the first pic. And the sweater.
I think maybe a pair of high-waisted, wide leg trousers and a loose blouse would look good on you. the contrast of the loose blouse and the high, fitted waist might make you look a little less rectangular. I am by no means a fashionista, though. So take that as you will. lol I am liking the look of number 3, though!
