Why is it so hard to say … YES

I want to start by thanking everyone for all your support, cards, letters, emails, well wishes, comments, facebook posts and more.

Why is it so hard to say yes?
Yes, I need help
Yes, something is wrong
Yes, I am overwhelmed
Yes, I am sick

This week has taught hubby and I so much.
We have learned that we are loved by so many more people that we could have imagined.
Once the word was out that I was not feeling well
the calls and emails of support poured in
I am not talking a trickle here people I am talking a flood.
Yet it was still hard to say yes, we can use your help.

It took hospitalization to realize we can not do this alone.
That we needed your help, your support and most of all your prayers.

Our God is so good.
He knew that you would all be there for us.
He knew that we could not do this alone and
He knew that we would be surrounded by people that love us.
And boy, are we loved!

I asked Hubby what he learned this week
He said to not be selfish.
To not plan his days based on what works for him
and have us work around that.
That he needs to think of others first and how our schedules can work together.
That meant a lot to me.
Not only because I think it is good for all of us but because I felt the same way.

I am always trying to plan our days on what works for me and how can everything else fit in.
I plan play dates, I want to go to,
school schedules to not mess up those play dates
church commitments based on what feels comfortable to me.

I learned that I need to slow down.
I need to be a Mom,
I need to be a Godly Mom,
I need to be a Christ following Mom.

And that friends is what I am going to do.
Am I going to close my shop, NO
Am I going to stop blogging, NO
Am i going to stop play dates, of course NOT.

But I will make sure God is the center of everything I do.
I will seek his plan for what we do that week,
I will make sure everyone is enjoying what we are doing
I will not let my work take away from my family.

I again am so thankful for everything everyone has done and is doing for our family.
I am doing well, and getting stronger everyday.
We have a rough few weeks a head of us,
but I see the light and I know God is right next to me.
Holding my hand, and will lead down the path that is right for me.
