The Sweet Aroma…

…of coffee!
The aroma of fresh coffee can make my insides so relaxed. My husband and I have always been fond of the smell but not the taste. We always prided ourselves on not being addicted to coffee like so many others we know.
Peppermint Mocha! Yum!
Don’t get me wrong we occasionally treated ourselves to Starbucks or Biggby from time to time. Although I am not sure you could call it coffee. I usually ordered a Grande Peppermint Mocha with only a ½ shot of espresso. They make them with 2 full shots! To be honest I always thought people carrying a Starbucks cup looked so cute and preppy. Why not join the trend!
Creamer currently housed in my refrigerator, should last me about another week 🙂

Fast forward 3 years to present day. Jake and I can not go a day without a cup of coffee! I blame MOPS and he blames me! I could not resist trying coffee since all my lady friends drink it when we get together. While most people add creamer to their coffee, people ask me if I am going to add coffee to my creamer.
Coffee with A LOT of creamer and Whip cream…Just like I like it.
Baby steps people, baby steps! We have not officially taken the plunge and bought a coffee maker yet, we are in the market to by one. We currently use coffee tea bags. Perfect way for one cup at a time!
Why share this you ask? I wanted to share with you my newest craft adventure.
Coffee Cup Cozies
They replace the paper ones you use on your store bought coffee cups or travel mugs. I made 5 in one night. It took me about 2 hours, while watching TV and eating cookies left over from a cookie exchange. I used this tutorial from All things Heart and Home to make them. Here is a PDF of the pattern too. (Be sure to check out her blog for other great ideas and amazing tutorials)

Jake laughed when I handed him his mug with a cozy on it.
But he is so sweet he said thanks and headed off to work. I can guarantee he is did NOT show it off to any of his friends at work today!

I’d love to see pictures if you tried to make one. Comment with the URL to your picture. thanks.
