the perfect planner for my needs… {help me name her}

the perfect planner for my needs

i asked on facebook and twitter last week for recommendations for the perfect planner
the most shared was not a surprise to me
it was Erin condren of course
i love her planners, the colors, the options, the layout
it was still missing something for me.

in Oct i purchased the student planner from vera bradley and I love it.
i love the size, the durability, the colors
but again it was missing something for me.

i was looking for a way to track my exact time schedule along with important to do’s for my day
after searching for about a week
i decided to create my own
i started by doodling in my notebook what i wanted
and then off to photoshop i went
i created the perfect planner for me!
(in my blog colors of course)

it will be printed in 7×8 coil bound planner

which is close to my 6×8 journal that I am obsessed with

i made a monthly page view

perfect planner monthly view
i wanted the month and dates to be left open becuase i am nutoriaous
for buying a planner and then not using it all the time.
I did not want this planner to “expire” before all the pages were filled in.

i next created a 2 page spread for the weekly view
i wanted my day broken in to morning, afternoon, and evening
i also wanted to space to write in the times each thing is supposed to be completed by

weekly planner spread

on the far left there is a place to write important notes, bible verses, prayers, ect…

now here is my favorite page.
for each week i created a To-DO page.
this is the page i felt most planners were missing
this one will be my life line…
it includes:

  • daily water intake
  • medications
  • memory verse for the week
  • devotion check list
  • bible reading check list (which has space to include what i read)
  • cleaning/house chores
  • prayer requests
  • meal schedule
  • xtra (if time) to do’s (or blog projects)

to do planner page

I am picking up the printed sheets today from my printer
cutting them to size
then having them coil bound.

I will have a few extra copies made so I can have a few of you “test drive” this bad boy
then hopefully she will be up for sale..

can you help me name her?
the person who chooses the winning name will for sure get a free planner!

did i miss something? should i change something?

  1. I would name her The Pearl Planner.

    Have a great day.

  2. I would totally name it “Redeemed” for how God has redeemed each of us from our sins and how this is a daily process for all of us!

  3. Adorable! What about calling this one something that would allow you to name other planners in a similar vein? For example, using Pearl as a starting point, this planner could be called Opaline (a synonym for the color pearl), leaving the door open for other variations for other planners. Or perhaps Apple (as in Apple of my eye, another expression similar to Pearl). Or Gem (leaving room for other similar names as well).

  7. I love it! I’d DEF. use a section for brainstorming, and one for a grocery list! I have at least 2 little journal pages filled with grocery lists and blog lists every week!

And I’d name her…Clarabelle. Because it’s classic and sweet and memorable. And feminine! Just like your fonts and colors!

  10. You did a great job! Lovin’ that extra to-do page.

You could name her Hope. “For I know the plans I have for you…plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you HOPE and a future.” Or if it’s a boy, just call it Jeremiah 🙂
