Stewards of God’s Grace lent #25

Stewards of God's grace

1 Peter 4:10 – Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.

Let’s look back to the first week of lent. We spent a week meditating on 1 Peter 5:10-11.
In verse 10 of Chapter 5 it says “the God of ALL grace”. In verse 11 it states “To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen”.

Let’s look again at 1 Peter 4:10-11 now.
In verse 10 it says “as faithful stewards of God’s grace “. At the end of verse of 11 “To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen”.

1 Peter 4:10

We are to faithfully give out God’s Grace to others, Because God will get the glory forever and ever. I love How God proves time and time again of the importance of every word that was written in the Bible.

1 Peter 4:11 : If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.

Right there in verse 11 we have instructions on how to do this.
We need God’s strength to serve others. We need to be in God’s word daily. In order to speak God’s truth to others we need to know His word, live out His words, and be obedient to His word.

examples of being stewards of God’s grace:
through speaking: sharing our testimony, sharing scripture, ending notes of encouragement
through service: opening our homes to others, provide shelter, give financially, clean for others, prepare meals

How are you going to be a steward of God’s grace? What gifts have you been given that can be used to Glorify God?
