Our minds have been filled with Jesus, our hearts are abounding with forgiveness, our motives are in check, our table is set, now it’s time to prepare the meal. i want my house to be filled with the aromas of thanks, grace, and of course turkey.

2 Corinthians 2:14-15 (ESV)
But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere. For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing,

fellowship and relationships are my focus. not a fancy menu that is intimidating. I want my time to be spent loving my guests. so this year we are having a simple Thanksgiving menu. i even am giving up control and delegating some of the dishes!

our simple menu:
turkey: made in an oven bag via
mashed potatoes : aunt is making (make ahead potatoes recipe here)
gravy : make ahead recipe here
green bean casserole : sis-in-law is making (traditional recipe here)
salad : simple tossed salad
bread : mother-in-law is bringing
stuffing : mother-in-law is bringing (simple recipe here)
banana cream pie : via this recipe
pumpkin pie : gift from my Realtor
ice cream : cousin bringing
drinks : aunt bringing
mulled apple cider (crockpot) : via this recipe

  2. Ever since all of us kids have graduated college, my mom has split up the menu! This year, I am in charge of dessert… I’m making pumpkin cupcakes that I found on Pinterest… I think they will be a hit!
