Sewing with my girl… bow clutch

Since my daughter has mastered the reversable tote bag
she wanted a new project to tackle.

Of course we headed straight to pinterest for ideas.
I wanted something she could do on her own
so we found this tutorial…

But we felt it needed a little more personality..
we loved this clutch but i thought it might be too hard for her to start with

We decided to make up our own pattern…

here is what we came up with..
Mine:

hers: which is super fab i might add…

She is excited to make more of these for her friends..
She actually took a list of orders already!

I can not wait to start a new project with her!

  1. So cute…does she want to sell one? 🙂

  2. What a great idea. We are off of school today and this looks like a fun project for my daughter and I. Thanks for the post.

  3. Total win! I tried this over the weekend too! Mine is similar, but very different too! It’s a zipper pouch. I had a hard time trying to figure out MY way of cinching the middle of the bow. I love the way you did it! Totally tops my tied twine! Love it!
