Marriage retreat…part 1

The first weekend in Feb
Hubby and I were blessed to go away for the weekend
We were able to go on a weekend marriage retreat

We were lucky to be joined with great company on our trip…

Our 3 hour car ride to the retreat was filled with chatting, singing and even stopping for snacks!

We stayed in a beautiful hotel, right downtown Traverse City, MI

our rooms had one of those adjoining doors. We kept it open or unlocked most of the time.

Which may or may not have led to a lot of pranks!

We may or may not have acted like teenagers while we were away without our children.
Hiding in someones closet only to make another grown man scream and dive on his bed! or hide in stairway making snorting noises only to find out it was your neighbor and Not your friend. Whoops!!

Or maybe it was Playing dress up at a local sunglasses store.

Nope that could not be it, it was too much fun!

I ate too much on this trip. Let’s be honest what SAHM really eats 3 full meals a day? Not I.
And that would be why I gained 7 Pounds on this trip.

this mass amount of food was one order that they split… Holy SNAP…

Yes we are all Vegetarian’s.. okay not so much!

Besides eating a lot and laughing a lot we learned so much and are so much closer as a couple.

Stay tuned for part 2 of the Marriage series where you will meet the speakers and hear about what they taught us.
“That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.” Genesis NIV

  1. It’s awesome to go to see this web site and reading the views of all colleagues about this paragraph, while I am also keen of getting familiarity.
