A few weeks ago we made a few updates in our 1980’s kitchen. We freshened up our kitchen cabinets by painting them white.
Before we get into what’s new, let’s take a look back at the old… (this is a picture heavy post)
That still makes my dizzy just looking at it.
kitchen to do list:
white subway tile backsplash
paint cabinets white
update light fixtures
paint chalkboard wall
update cabinet hardware
counter tops – concrete or gray something
We are slowly but surely plugging away at our to-do list.
Our recent project was updating the cabinets. I had no idea how big of a difference they were going to make.
We used a DIY chalk paint and wax on the cabinets. The hardware is brushed nickel from Lowe’s. We purchased the contractor packs to cut down on the cost. We spray painted the hinges with stainless steel paint.
okay enough chatting… let the picture overload begin.

It was a 6 day process for us but so worth it in the end.
