Keeping my sights on Him

As I start my day today I need to remember that my plans are not always God’s plans. I need to focus on him and he will direct my day.
It says in 1 Corinthians’s 10:13 ” No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it”.
Sometimes it feels overwhelming all that tempts us but if we trust in him he will keep us on the straight path!
Today Hailey has her last basketball game. She had never been involved in an organized sport before and it was a little obvious at first. By her last practice this week she has shown great improvement. We are really proud of her for stepping out of her comfort zone and trying something new. She starts Girls on The Run next week and we really look forward to it. She is going to learn to stay fit, eat right, and about having a positive body image. In May she will will participate in the Fun run 1 mile jog at the Riverbank run, and the next week run a 5k. We are excited and inspired by her determination.
For our 5 year wedding anniversary Jake and I are going to run the 5k at the 5/3 riverbank run. It’s not far but for us NON runners it is far. We are excited about doing this. Although starting to practice and run is probably something we should start doing now! LOL
I think later today I am going to post my online blog journal from my mission trip for those of you who were not able to read it while I was gone. Have a great day. Stay focused, have fun, and laugh a little extra today
