insta friday coffee date

insta friday

linking up my weekly instagram pics with jeannett!

If you were here for our insta friday coffee date, I would ask to hold your hand so we could pray.

Dear heavenly Father, we come before you today trusting you, knowing you are guiding us, loving us, and walking before us. Father we are thankful for the gentle whispers to seek your face before all things. help us remove any idols we have blocking our view of you. Lord God, we love you. I know we are like little children and disobey you, but Father your grace and forgiveness is abundantly comforting. thank you and forgive us. We love you Father. Lord, please be with the United team as they are walking the streets of Chicago, sharing your love with your people. Give them the encouragement to pray for the lost, the broken, the unreached. Father i know you have a plan for our house selling/buying and i am trying to be patient. forgive me for trying to rush you. Your timing is perfect, help remind me of that. in Jesus name we pray amen.

If you were here for coffee I would tell you about the books i have been reading. My friend Alyssa is always raving about these christian historical fiction books. I asked to borrow some and I am hooked. I especially enjoyed reading them while eating eggless cookie dough! be warned eating three bowls in an hour will upset your stomach!

eggless cookie dough

while my husband was away this week i spent the evening in bed reading to way too late. i kept telling myself  just . one .  more .  page.

If you were here for coffee i would tell you I am so relieved I finished all the necklaces for the July tethered crates. I even created new business cards and added an extra measure of flare to each one!

If you were here for coffee you may have noticed that I am not drinking coffee today. I have a large glass of ice water instead. While my husband was away all week I had impromptu date nights with the littles. date nights equaling eating extra special treats! that being said, i ate too many extra special treats and need to give my stomach a rest.
although i did enjoy the oreo movie night with my little man

and the Ihop dinner date with Lennie

speaking of ihop. I realized the ihop kids menus are not originated in Michigan. When filling out the trivia on the back with Lennie we noticed the picture below was inaccurate.
In Michigan we have POP cans not SODA! get it right people!

pop can vs soda can

speaking of eating right. Frank went on a pike trip with the middle school group from church monday. we picked her up at an ice cream shop in Rockford. we noticed inside the shop walls of candy. and on one shelf there was the most disgusting candy/snacks ever. think larva, crickets, and scorpions. before you even ask we did not buy anything from that shelf.

if you were here for coffee I would be raving about the maryKay products i received in my first VoxBox from influenster. The pink Cherie lipstick is actually my favorite thing in the box. i was scared of the color at first but now i don’t think i’ll back to a taupe again! (I received all products complimentary from Influenster)

If you were here for coffee i would tell you I had my remicade treatment on Thursday.

I would tell you that while I was there I was reading my Jesus Calling Devotional and was overwhelmed at how God is speaking to me. In the last 4 months he has brought the same verse before me. Psalm 143:8 He has been very clear that if I continue to keep my focus on him he will guide me in the right direction.

Psalm 143:8

I recommend also reading Galatians 2:2, and Isaiah 30:5

If you were here for coffee I would tell it’s time for me to run. I have a house full of littles and they are beggin to play outside.
make sure to visit Alyssa for another Coffee date and Jeannette for an insta-friday recap.
