right after i chose my paint color for our kitchen update, i headed straight to the naptime diaries shop to order my first print. i was looking for something that would match the new color scheme but also wanted a print that was meaningful to me.was bold in truth. I am so excited to begin hanging scripture prints in my new home.
i love the look of open frames, hubby is still trying to grasp this, and knew i wanted a non-traditional way to display my new print. originally i wanted to hang the print in the center of the frame using washi tape, but again my husband was not keep on having tape on our freshly painted walls. his friend may have even laughed at me for suggesting the idea. moving along. I felt like the black frame i had on hand was too bold for this wall. I painted it my tween’s bedroom color (gray) and then using a wet paper towel rubbed some tan paint over that. yup we are talking 3 layers of paint already. (black, gray, tan) next up the sand paper met the frame in a little 10 minute get together. i ruffed up the layers making sure to let the black show through. i love the way it turned out.
i added two thumbtacks to the back of the frame and tightly wrapped some crafting wire on around the tacks. easy peasy
i used mini clothespins from consumer crafts to hold my new print. it’s safe, secure, and ready to be changed when needed. also the walls were protected from tape. thank heavens, lol
ignore the giant phone jack box, that will disappear soon i hope. i absolutely love how the frame turned out. i just ordered naptime diaries advent calendar and have a large aged frame that i cam going to hang those from in my living room! when it arrives i will show you.
my little comer of the kitchen is looking better each day! see the before and after pictures!
