Good Friday…

I wanted to share a little about what today means to me.
Today is Good Friday.
Good Friday is the day Christ died on the cross, the Friday before Easter.  As the most somber day in the Christian calendar, it is a day for prayer, repentance, and meditation on the agony and suffering of Christ on the cross. Since Christ’s death on the cross is central to the Christian faith, the events of that day should be ever on our minds. We observe Good Friday with a subdued evening service, remembering the night of Christ’s death.
The Bible passages for Good Friday can be found in Matthew 27, Mark 15, Luke 23, and John 19.
I am so thankful for this sacrifice that the Lord has made for me.
I am sinner saved by His grace.
I do not deserve to live in eternity with him but I get to.
I have made many mistakes growing up that I thought were unforgivable.
many I have yet to share with my closest friends
many that I repeat over and over again still
I am trying and seeking his forgiveness daily as I strive to be more like my Jesus.
There is a song that I am loving
the chorus goes like this
Living he Loved Me
Dying he saved me
Buried He carried my
My sins far away
Rising he justified me
Freed me forever
One day he’s coming back Glorious day
It’s called Glorious Day by casting crowns.
It’s so amazing to think all Jesus has done and is doing for us.
Wow. I can not wait to celebrate this Sunday.
Easter is so my favorite holiday!
