Friday coffee date … Temps are rising

Top of the morning to you.
I wonder if that sounded as weird to you as it did to me.
Welcome to our Friday coffee date

Do you mind if we pray first..
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this day. You are El Shaddai, The All Sufficient One, God Almighty. You are the source of all blessings. Our problems are never too big for you. That is such a comfort and promise Father. Lord I ask that you bless my friend abundantly today, allow her to see your work in her life, fill her with your peace. Lord God, if my friend is not yet a follower of Christ, will you soften her heart. Place someone in her life that she feels is safe, someone who represents you, someone that will not judge her, someone who will teach her your word, someone who will love her. Father bless our conversations today. In Jesus mighty name, amen.

If we were meeting for coffee today … We would be at a coffee shop. I ran out of creamer. Sue me. #firstworldproblems look it up, or don’t ha

If we were meeting for coffee I would be all smiles. The forecast isn’t looking awful finally. although I could do without the rain, I am thankful to not see snow mentioned. The flood waters are starting to recede, and we can now see sidewalks, roads, and parks that were under water. That doesn’t mean we are in the clear but it’s a good sign. (We thankfully were not effected by flood waters at our house)

If we were meeting for coffee I would tell you that I am starting to realize that this is my last year before my oldest is a teenager. I know I mentioned Monday that frank will be 12 on Sunday. But I just realized that I will only have 365 days left before she is a teenager. A teenager people.

If we were having coffee I would tell you I am excited and overwhelmed by plaids gift of jewelry supplies. This Martha Stewart line is stinking awesome and I want to make something that stands out but need some inspiration.

If we were having coffee I would tell you I am craving eggs. Not as in pregnant cravings, geesh. I just love eggs, but hate cleaning up the dishes. So I usually just have coffee and call it good. Wonder where that spare tire came from.

If we were having coffee I would tell that the girls have been bickering a lot lately. I am not sure what it is. I think it’s because they all want to be a princess, the same princess and can’t seem to grasp that’s its okay if there are 3 Keira’s in the room. However, tinkerbell has a magic hold on them and can calm a room full of tension.

If we were meeting for coffee I would tell you all about the house projects we are working on. That some are fun and some are plan awful. I spent a good 3-4 hours in the basement yesterday cleaning out years of sentimental hoarding stuff. Ha ha

If we were meeting for coffee I would tell you about how much I love my husband. That even though we do not always agree, I love him. I love how he knows what I am thinking, that he can predict my next sneak attack move, and he surprises me with flowers, often.

I would also tell you he is an outstanding dad. The Lord knew he would be a great provider. That he would be intentional with each of his kids and listen to them. I love just watching him do his Dad thing.

If we were having coffee I would tell you that our tv antenna broke this week. The wind blew it over. First time in 10 years, yo. I would tell you that it really hasn’t bothered me too much. We do have Netflix. I would tell that my husband, being the good man he is did try and fix it. He climbed up on the roof to try and fix it. But still, it’s not working. Oh well.

If we were having coffee I would tell you that I am thankful for you. Thankful for your comments, your emails, your texts, and your hugs. That these coffee dates would be lonely if you did not join me. Thank you for allowing me to pray with you and for you.
Speaking of praying, how can I pray for you today?

  1. Flood waters? Wow, that’s intense! I’m glad they didn’t affect your house, though!

I like eggs for breakfast, too. But too lazy to make them. Toast and coffee, every day. 🙂

Your husband sounds like a really sweet guy. Hurrah for wonderful husbands!
