friday coffee date #boermansmovingout

Friday-coffee-date

yeah it’s friday
time to get together for our friday coffee date
i have so much to share with you, but before we start chatting let’s pray

Father God, i need you. We all need you. Right now Lord I am seeking your discernment and guidance. I am seeking your wisdom in some decisions I need to make. Father I know you are here with me, protecting me, guiding me, and loving me. I can feel you here. Lord I ask that you reveal yourself to my friends today. Allow them to see your miracles in their day. Please help those who are suffering seek your face and find your peace. We know you have our best interest in mind although its hard to see that during times of darkness. Help keep our eyes focused on you. we love you Father. Amen

If you were here for coffee right now I would hug you! I would tell you how grateful i am to have you here with me.

If you were here for coffee right now I would give you a vase full of peonies from yard, and maybe a few from my neighbors (she shares). I absolutely love how peonies look and smell.

if you were here for coffee i would tell you that i love when the kids are willing to help me clean up. when i can give them odd jobs that also double as learning activities. The other day i had Lenny cut all the strings off my rug (carpet remnant). this doubled as a fine motor skill activity. bonus.

fine motor skills

if you were here for coffee I am sure you would have lots of questions for me. those questions would come from my newest hashtag on social media. #boermansmovingout. originally i started the hashtag because we began the process of praying to see if God wanted us to move. I wanted to be proactive and start cleaning out cupboards and bedrooms in case things moved fast.

Once we felt confirmation from God that he did want us to move, I  staredt a major de-clutter clean up in this place.

Which led to more prayer, asking God when he would like us to put our house up for sale. after a few weeks of prayer, my husband and I both felt that God wanted us to put our house up NOW!
EEEK
*enter anxiety and excitment*
we met with a Realtor, who happens to be our friend, and after a few hours of chatting and signing papers,  my house is for sale…

It’s so surreal right now. I think it will not seem real until our first showing.

If you were here for coffee you would notice my house is super clean. Holla! and you would notice I am a little more on edge with each mess the littles make! You would probably laugh and tell me to lighten up. I would thank you for the reality check and we would smile at each other and keep chatting! *thank you*

If you were here for coffee I would be telling you how not prepared I am for summer vacation to begin. that’s right, today is the last day of school. I am excited to not be driving kids around as much and to not have to get up at 6am. But i am not excited about the increased grocery bill and the messes this will all lead to. not to mention the fighting, whining, and complaining about being bored! I have a feeling my knees will become callused from begging God to get me through each day!

If you were here for coffee I would show you all the amazing Styled by Tori Spelling goodies I received, for a summer craft project. I would also tell you that if  you Upload a pic of your #toristyle jewelry, you could win a Joann Stores trip with @torianddean! Click here to enter

if you were here for coffee I would have to tell you that it’s time for me to run. I need to pick up the kids from school soon and I still need to make lunches for our picnic at the zoo!

don’t forget to visit Alissa and the others who joined us for coffee today.

  1. What a lovely coffee date! Thanks for the hug, peonies, and REAL conversation. That can be hard to come by these days.

Girl, what a whirlwind! But if God is leading y’all to sell your house, He is going to carry you through it. We are in an opposite situation where we are looking to buy a house…but in some casual looking (not planning to move until the winter or next year), we think we may have found a gem that we should jump on. Similar to you, I feel a bit unprepared…full of anxiety and excitement…but continually turning to God in prayer for His guidance. Without him, we are lost in the dark, aren’t we?

And my favorite line of yours? “I have a feeling my knees will become callused from begging God to get me through each day!” I’ve been there, too…calloused knees are a part of livin’ in a fallen world, right? But those callouses are a joyous reminder of our need for God and His commitment to hearing and answering our prayers. (I can tend to be too self-sufficient…or at least try to be…so callouses are good for me.)

Thanks for your comment on my blog. Such a joy to stop by here! Off to follow you every way I can.

    Warmly,
    Lauren
