find refuge in God at lent #2

God at lent

As we seek to find refuge in God at lent, we need to look a littler deeper into 1 Peter 5:10-11.

And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.

First we need to define who God is: The Head of the trinity
Abba Father, Creator, Sustainer, Procter, Healer, Restorer

Next we need to define what grace is:
what is grace

Grace is FREE, never earned, and always undeserved.

Ephesians 2:8

How does God show us His grace:
through Salvation, mercy, by giving us strength, guidance, and forgiveness.

Since we are born sinful fallen people we can not give perfect grace. BUT, because we have put our trust in God and are believers in the death and ressurection of Christ we are given grace and then allowed to share that grace with others.
quote about grace

During this Lenten season I encourage you to meditate on God’s grace.
How has God shown you His grace?

My challenge for you:
Show God’s grace to others. This can be hard but it’s required of us as believers.
