find refuge in God at lent

The Lord has something big planned for all of us I can feel it. I look forward to growing closer to God right along side all of you. Thanks for joining me today as we begin to find refuge in God at lent.

We are going to start this week by meditating everyday on 1 Peter 5:10-11
And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.

What is meditation?
Christian meditation, very simply, is the ability to hear God’s voice and obey his word. – Richard Foster, celebration of Discipline

Ways to mediate on this verse:
1. Personalize the Passage – Turn the Scripture into a first-person prayer
2. Paraphrase it – Rewrite the verse in your own words.
3. Pray it – Turn the verse into a prayer and say it back to God.
4. Repeat, repeat, repeat Take time to read a verse or passage over and over.

Thursday, Friday, and Saturday we will break down this verse a smaller sections.
