Final House Tour #boermansmovingout

house tour

our house officially been for sale now for a week.
before someone snatches it up I wanted to share one last house tour with you.

let’s start with the new DIY mudroom we just finished

DIY-mudroom

we removed the old sliding doors
removed the hanging rod
raised the height of the shelf
painted the closet white
added a 1×4 across the back
added 6 coat hooks
placed fabric bins on shelf
2 storage ottomans that double as seating
and the left over show shelf in the center

next up is the living room
this is where we spend 98% of our time.

living-room-tour

a few years ago we removed the old gray carpet
and installed dark laminate flooring
this room has been gray, red, teal, and now barn owl white!

from the living room you look into the kitchen

kitchen-tour

again we have updated this room a lot since moving in.
the cabinets where just flat, hubby added the trim detail
new cabinet hardware
we put in a new counter top
a new sink
new faucet
new back splash
new fridge
new over stove microwave/hood
new flooring
bead board
and painted it a few times

kitchen-tour

up next is the bathroom

bathroom-tour

we put in a new toilet
added the cabinet above the toilet
hung a new mirror
installed a new bronzed finished faucet
matching bronze towel bars, hand towel ring,
TP roll holder, shower curtain bar, and door knob
added new lighting above the sink
had lighting added in the shower
had the tub resurfaced
removed the old tub surround
tiled the shower
new faucet and shower head
added new flooring
and of course a new paint job
this bathroom has been gray, tan. sunshine yellow, tan again and now green

next to the bathroom is our bedroom
I love my white bedding
I bought it on Craig’s list for a smokin’ deal

our wall color is called Fig by Eddie Bauer
depending on the light it looks green or brown

the only changes we made in the room are the faux wood blinds, the paint color
and the closet redo

the little kids room is around the corner
Lenny and Nancy share a room
since they are 7 and 4, it has not been an issue yet.

this room has also been many colors
gray, gray with red animal prints, yellow, pink, and now brown!
the back of the door is painted with chalkboard paint

Franks bedroom is the biggest.
anything for a tween right..

this room has been completely redone.
it was our play room until we had 3 kids
we had a water issue about 6 years ago.
gutted it to the cement walls
fixed the problem
added new paneling, ceiling, recessed lighting and carpet

that friends is the inside of my house.
well there is a laundry room
but it is in the unfinished part of the basement
use your imagination

One thing i will definitely miss when we move is our deck.
having this giant deck was like adding a 2nd living space.

well that’s all folks
hopefully not long from now
I will be sharing a house tour in my new home
(once this one sells we will start looking for a new house)

  1. girl if we lived in GR we’d totally put an offer in! we are house-hunting like crazy and have missed out on every single one we’ve loved. this is totally our style!

    praying for you!! xo

  2. When we sold our last home, we didn’t start looking until we got an offer on it. Which put us in panic mode, but I didn’t want to get our hopes up. Praying you sell it and find an amazing deal (and selfishly want you to move to Indy). xo
