emotional roller coaster

our family just returned from a wonderful vacation on Lake Michigan.
we rented a little basement cottage, that had a deck with a view of the water.
i think this vacation is just what our family needed before life starts changing.
i shared yesterday about all the chaos that happened when we returned.

Er visit and surgery.

this week wednesday was the last day we spent in our home.
we will be visiting the empty house tomorrow for the last time.

after 10 years, lots of paint colors, and 2 more children, its time to say goodbye.
I am sure there will be tears, heart ache, and longing for what is normal.
but, i know that this is what The Lord has planned for us.
we are currently staying with friends for about a week or so.
we can not move into our new house until the end of the month.

so many things will be different in our new house.
everyone will have their own bedroom, we will have more than 1 bathroom, the kids will ride the bus to school…can i get an amen.

i have decided with all the craziness of buying and updating a new to us home i am going to “homeschool” Lennie and 2 of her friends. i use the term homeschool loosely. i feel like its a not really homeschool for preschool. its what we as parents should be doing already. but since Lennie really wanted to go to school this year we are calling it homeschool, I ordered a christian curriculum, ordered a phonics program, our music, reading books, and downloaded a plan for our units (apples, butterflies, pumpkins ect). we will have field trips, snack time, a very structured learning time. I will do school 3 days a week for 2-3 hours. the other days we have church activities that will keep us busy.

will you pray for our family as we transition into this new phase of life. will you pray the kids adjust well, they have no anxieties, and things go smoothly. Also pray for my health.I am still not feeling 100% after surgery. things are pretty sore and it makes it very hard to move around. thank you.

  1. Saying prayers for you and your family as you make this transition – I am sure it will be a wonderful thing but I am sure it’s also scary to have so many changes all at once.
