easy low cost fall decor

fall decor

our house is such a blessing from God, like more than we hoped for or imagined.
i am trying to be a good steward with our money and not blow it all on decorations or not needed house stuff.

i finally have the space to decorate for holidays, and I am itching to fill up the space with fall decor. I am trying to use up some of my craft hoarding supplies.

pumpkin and pinecones

I have quite a few mason jars left over from my consumer crafts project, along with burlap and twine. I have yarn from every color of the rainbow and more acorns and pine cones in my yard then my husband would like us to have.

i used the same technique i shared for my mason jar herb garden to cover the jars. I had little wooden balls left over from the necklace donation i sent to the tethered crate. Our local grocery store had mini pumpkins on sale for 69 cents.

fall table decor

i used a strip of burlap as a table runner on my coffee table. after deconstructing the lovely floral centerpiece that was donated to me, i filled the container with acorns and a pumpkin. *disclaimer: my acorn tops are white because i soaked them for 5 hours in a bleach solution. the acorns were sitting on my table in the cute container and i heard noises. after emptying the container i found a about 25 grub/worms in their. they may or may not have been a little screaming. i later found out this is common. i chose to bleach my acorns but read from an instagram friend that baking them kills the bugs too.* this is your only warning.

I have a bucket full of beautiful pine cones, waiting to be used. I did start a Pinterest board of ideas but have not settled on anything yet. suggestions?

have you decorated for fall? share with me a link or email me a picture. I would love to see your ideas.
