cut out a heart shape

felt heart 3

now time to let your creative juices flow
i liked to cut my hearts so that they were not all the same size or shape

felt heart 4

there is something about a short fat heart that makes me smile

felt heart 5

continue cutting hearts until you have your desired amount

felt heart 6

make sure your glue gun is plugged in and nice and hot
grab some coffee while you are waiting, add some homemade creamer

now we can keep moving along..
i laid out the pattern before i began gluing the string to the hearts

felt heart 7

i only used a tiny dot of glue on the back of the heart and then placed the string down
be careful not to burn your finger tips
keep adding hearts until you reach the desired length of string for your project
i hung my hearts in our front window

hanging heart strands

here i used a longer strand draped  over an old window on our wall

the decoration is the perfect amount of Valentine fun for our little house!
