Don’t worry I don’t even know exactly what Classy Grandpa style is, but I am learning.
Let me explain…
Last August my husband started a new job at new church. Which means he has a new office. He asked for help decorating since it was a blank slate.
I asked my husband what he has in mind for his space. He said he wanted it to have a “classy grandpa feel”. I sat there with a deer in headlights look on my face. “a what feel?” I asked.
Immediately I headed to pinterest to see what would come up. Needless to say there were NO pictures of houses or decorated rooms. Had the search worked I think the following room would have showed up.
source: homey oh my!
I asked him to explain a little more what he meant by classy grandpa style:
Oranges, reds, rich dark wood tones, and leather.
That I can work with
The church already put in a gray carpet and painted the walls a light gray with white trim and provided him with a black desk and chair. So I instantly became confused on how to incorporate his vision.
He naturally drawn to blues and greens, in every other area so I thought I could combine the two color pallets..
I figured if I could find some art for his walls that would mesh all the colors we could go from there. I headed to minted.com to check out their NEW line of art prints. That’s right it’s not all paper and cards anymore. They even have the most de-lish line of fabric too.
although this post is sponsored by minted.com all opinions are 100% mine.
