candy corn fruit push pops

candy corn fruit push pop

I am excited to share my candy corn fruit push pops with you today….

my kiddos have been riding the bus to school for 3 weeks now.
do you know what that means? it means more free time for me, less gas wasted, money saved, and Pinterest ideas to execute.

i wanted to surprise my kids with a really fun after school snack. I found a cool idea on Pinterest for a fruit cup that looked like a candy corn. well the colors at least.
i thought my cake push pop containers would be the perfect container for this cute little treat.

cake push pop

all it takes is 3 simple ingredients ( i usually purchase all my ingredients at Aldi but they were out of non-dairy  whipped topping)
i’ll share the full recipe at the end of this post.

candy corn push pop

start by layering your crushed pineapple (make sure its packed in and drained well)

crushed pipneapple

next add your mandarin oranges , i split them in half for easy chewing, again pack them in tight

mandarin oranges

top it off with a hefty dose of whipped topping. I used can whipped cream because it was dairy free.

whipped topping

don’t forget to put the lid on to keep them fresh.
i cut wholes in an old shoe box to help my push pops from falling over. if this would have been for a party, i definitely would have mod podge some cute paper on the box. or covered it in fabric scraps. I placed the box in the fridge to keep them nice and cold!
