Big news…

I am sorry things have been so quiet around here lately. I did not plan to take so much time away again.
There has just been a lot going on over here.

First: a plugin for my blog decided it wanted to crash my entire site for 3 days and I could not access my blog at all. That was stressful. But all is well and my hosting company is amazing and always fixes things as soon as they can.

Second: my crohn’s has been acting up again. I can not seem to figure out how to maintain normal lately. I am being careful with what I eat for the most part. I am taking my medicine on time and daily.
I just can not seem to get ahead of this.
For now all I can do is pray and ask God to help me. He is the great and mighty physician and He knows how to heal me.

Third: we are moving. Well eventually, not right now. But we are going to put our house up for sale this week. I have all kinds of emotions about it. Thankfully anxiety is not one of them. I’ve had my freak out moments during the cleaning, purging, staging process but I know this is God’s plan and that gives me peace.

Before you ask, we are not moving far away. We are planning on moving closer to our new church/Jake’s job. This is roughly 25-30 minutes from where we currently live. We feel the only way to truly invest into our ministry is to live near our community. This excites me. I can not wait to open my home to our students and allow them to be a part of our lives that they can not currently due to the distance. I hope to open my home to the college students on a regular basis to do life with them.

Please be patient and give grace to me during this busy time. I will do my best to keep you updated.
I’ll probably restart the #boermansmovingout hashtag again so you can follow along with us.

  1. My son has crohn’s. He has lost over 30 pounds in 2 months so I understand how hard this disease is on a person. I hope you feel better soon.
