Winter has finally come to Michigan, which means so has the start of cold and flu season. Having 5 people in my family along with 2 extra little’s during the week, odds are someone is having the sniffles at all times. When a little stays home with a winter cold they usually end up in the living room, watching excess amounts of TV, taking long naps, and being waited on hand and foot.
Little Lennie is the baby and i am not going to lie to you and say she gets treated the same as my other kids, because well she doesn’t. She also happens to be the one who gets sick most often. not because of a weakened immune system, nope, it’s because she rarely washes her hands, eats food off the floor, licks walls, and sucks her thumb! If she was the oldest child i may have freaked out when she did these things, but by child three, you kind of just go with it! See i told you she gets treated different! HA
To help her feel a little more comfortable we set up a spot in the living room special, just her style. okay really it’s to protect my couch from snot and throw up but she feels special so that’s all that matters right? win, win! I cover the couch in her sheets and blankets, stuffed animals, and dolls to keep her entertained. Occasionally draping a lap in a ballerina skirt!
I am always keeping the essentials close buy while she is resting. besides medicine, water, and dolls, Kleenex is a must. I am tired of washing clothes because my 4 year old thinks sleeves are more convenient. One of the worst things to deal with as a mom is a little one with a raw nose. There really is not much i can do to take away the pain from constant blowing and wiping, it makes me so sad. Kleenex Cool Touch Tissues are our new go to. When they come in contact with your skin, body heat activates the formula to release cooling comfort to soothe a sore nose. Genius i tell you. Simply Genius. And the box is very cute, modern and simple. Again win win for me!

Little Lennie usually require a full line up of princess movies in her Netflix Queue. I may or may not snuggle up with her a watch a few of them with her. What can i say, i love me some girly cartoons!
Do you have a special thing you do when your little is sick. is there an age when it’s time to quarantine them to their rooms and stop letting them take over our living rooms?
