am i willing to give up control?

words from my personal journal

am i willing to give up control?

I am sharing with you again words from my journal.
personal words that reflect my heart.
because these words are from my journal, there is no rules, grammatical rules, punctuation, sentence structure, or story outline..
just my words, my thoughts, my interpretations…

Nothing is impossible with Jesus
I can find rest and comfort in his presence
He asks me to come to him with all my weaknesses
-spiritual
-emotional
-physical

Luke 1:37 ncv “God can do anything”

It’s hard to not focus on my own burdens
It’s hard not to ask God to do this and that
Because i think i know how things should go
But God is already at work
He can do immeasurably more than i can ASK or IMAGINE

Ephesians 3:20 ncv “God can do much much more than anything we can ask or imagine”

The safest place i can be is in God’s will
i don’t need to control my life
i must abandon myself to his will
After all he is my shepherd
-taking care of me
-watching over me
-protecting me

he provides EVERYTHING i need
and he NEVER LEAVES me.

Psalm 23 1-4 ncv
The Lord the Shepherd
A psalm of David.
23 The Lord is my shepherd;
I have everything I need.
2 He lets me rest in green pastures.
He leads me to calm water.
3 He gives me new strength.
He leads me on paths that are right
for the good of his name.
4 Even if I walk through a very dark valley,
I will not be afraid,
because you are with me.
Your rod and your shepherd’s staff comfort me.

(Did you read that?)

I have everything I need
Not what I want, or think I need
But everything I need

Take time to reflect on that with me today
Thank God for his provisions in your life
For his never ending love
What things in your life are only wants?
Are you willing to let them go to be in HIS WILL?
