Journal entry from 4-17-13

Dear Jesus,
Do you remember me?
Have you forgotten my face?
It’s been a month since my last real devotional.

  • 1 month of not putting you first
  • 1 month of not seeking your face
  • 1 month of not being in your presence

Lord, forgive me, forgive me for my disobedience.
Father I am here now, broken, hurting, and heavy burdened.

Father I need you. I need your peace.
I desire to know you more, to be able to discern your will, to hear your voice.

Lord God, I am giving you control.
Mold me, fill me, use me
Make me like Christ
Allow me to see others and myself with your eyes.
Give me an undivided heart for you.

Psalm 86:11-12
Teach me your ways, O Lord
And I will walk in your truth.
Give me an undivided heart,
That I may I fear your name.
I will praise you O Lord my God with all my heart
I will glorify your name forever.

Give me a God centered purpose Father.
Increase my awareness
Increase my obedience

matthew 5:8

Matt 5:8 says blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

pure in heart:
• are happy
• holiness and happiness are fully described and put together.
• must be kept pure from fleshly lusts, all unchaste thoughts and desires
• must be purified by faith

Jeremiah 4:14 NIV Jerusalem, wash the evil from your heart and be saved. How long will you harbor wicked thoughts?

We must lift up to God, not only clean hands, but a pure heart

Psalm 51:10 Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

Father, thank you for not ever giving up on me. Thank you for always pursuing me and leading me back to you. I could not live this life without your guidance.

I love you Dad,
