Let’s chat about the 10 books you must read today, or at least this year.
We have a lot of books on our book shelf right now.
Most are non fiction, more like resources, but repeatedly read.
A few are nonfiction, and those too are read over and over.
I don’t buy a book unless it’s meant to be re-read.
My favorites on the shelf right now are:
Sensible Shoes: A Story about the Spiritual Journey by Sharon Garlough Brown:
~ story of four strangers as they embark together on a journey of spiritual formation
For the Love by Jen Hatmaker:
~ Fighting for Grace in a World of Impossible Standards
It’s Just a Little Gossip… by Sarah Harmony-Powell and Rebecca Barth
~ Letters of a Broken Friendship
Same kind of different as me by Ron Hall:
~ a modern day slave, an international art dealer, and the unlikely woman who bound them together.
Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom:
~ an old man, a young man, and life’s greatest lesson
The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom:
~ an original story that will change everything you’ve ever thought about the afterlife–and the meaning of our lives here on earth.
Life Unstuck by Pat Layton:
~ Finding Peace with Your Past, Purpose in Your Present, Passion for Your Future
Enough by Kate Conner:
~ 10 things we should tell teenage girls
Under the Overpass by Mike Yankoski
~ A Journey of Faith on the Streets of America
Each of these books I could read over and over and hear something new and challenging. If you ever want to borrow one of these let me know and I’ll send it right over. You may want to click the link and grab your own as you’ll want to write, dog ear, re-read, and take notes of your own. I promise!
What are you reading? Any books you can recommend to me?
